I don't know what causes it to crash, whether it is a certain combination of characters or long lines or just the size of a textfile but the crash is reproducable. For example it crashes every time I open /usr/ports/INDEX and scroll a few lines down with the following error message: ----snip---- Gdk-ERROR **: BadLength (poly request too large or internal Xlib length erro serial 2914 error_code 16 request_code 149 minor_code 0 Gdk-ERROR **: BadRequest (invalid request code or no such operation) serial 2921 error_code 1 request_code 185 minor_code 0 ----snap---- Since this doesn't happen with the official build on Redhat Linux I assume this problem is FreeBSD-specific. >How-To-Repeat: phoenix file:///usr/ports/INDEX scroll a few lines down and observe a crash with two error messages similar or equal to the ones cited above >Fix: I've got no clue, just don't open large textfiles. >Release-Note: >Audit-Trail: >Unformatted: To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-ports" in the body of the message
