You need to have kernel source installed on your system. If you have it # cd /sys/i386/conf # cp GENERIC MYKERNEL # vi MYKERNEL and add the pseudo-device line mentioned. save the file and then # config MYKERNEL # cd ../../compile/MYKERNEL # make # make install That's it. Then you'll need to create the swap file and edit /etc/rc.conf to tell the system where the swap file lives.
