There is in fact a PR that has been in for a while now regarding exactly this. It's just recently become a problem for me. I've found bad solutions to it (umount -f -t ext2fs -a in /etc/rc.shutdown) but not any good ones yet. -- If I write a signature, my emails will appear more personalised.
