To Joe:
I don't have 2.2.5 yet, but if it like 2.2.2 one should be able to do a
"custom" install and select the X part only.

To Rich

I tried installing from ports once and I would never ever recommend it
to anyone unless they  want to play with the source. The sources are
something in the range of 30MB and compiling them takes an eternity.
Although my computer is only 130Mhz with 48MB of ram the compilation
was taking what seemed to be an eternity.

I think installing from the "custom" install or downloading binaries
are the two best options.
