The computation results differ in the least significant bit,
which is normal and expected -- different computations lead
to different round-off errors.  In fact, I believe that my
implementation is more accurate than the original, because it
involves fewer computational steps, reducing round-off errors.

Of course, my code finds exactly the same spikes and gaussians
as the original program.
