No. You need to configure them first but it's not a big deal. It's very easy and everything is well documented (freebsd.org/handbook). I am using Cisco Aironet (ancontrol instead of wicontrol) >I found that the dlink-650+ is just not going to work. Yes, because they've changed the chipset in the card, but didn't change the model. I have the same problem and I sold the card on ebay recently.
