I had been thinking about that as well.  It's easy to get carried away
here, but what about a self-extracting windows executable in addition
to the tarball?  Now that [pk|win]zip can read tarballs, it may not be
an issue, though... but isn't there a way to launch a text viewer from
a self-extractor?  If so, we could have the README/docs/whatever come
up when the files have been extracted.

Shrug.  I think it might be best to table this until we get the
fundamental stuff out of the way, but I would like to revisit at
some point.  It might go a long way towards simplifying the
process of obtaining the necessary FreeBSD resources.
