Not unsupported per se, just flaky. Note: this _might_ be related to the
specific manufacturer and / or model of motherboard that I'm using; I
don't know. And all this might be history now, for all I know.

Earlier on, the Xorg support (xorg 6.99.5) for ATI Radeon Xpress 200 gfx
chipset was unstable, as described here:

because the card was unusable at the time, I switched to a external
card - the nVidia GeForce 6200 TurboCache. This has worked for me, so I
haven't tested the Xpress 200 onboard gfx after that.
