Instead of downloading the whole thing, (many many files and directories)
follow the directions on how to make a boot floppy. Then you can do 
an install over the net. Or, when the 2.2.6 CD is out, get one of them.

Way faster, I've done it both ways. (unless you have a T1 :-))
