i have 3 atapi hard drives - wd0 wd2 and wd3
(3.51 release). the whole system is on wd0 ...

i know when i format wd3 i should do a:

dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/rwd3 count=2

but if i do:

dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/wd3 count=2

my machine reboots instantly everytime ...
is this a bad atapi driver bug?

seems like that isn't up to freebsd standards :)

please reply off list as well ...
