>Description:

Some PC Cards cannot have their attribute memory mapped in the memory
locations that NEWCARD maps them. Consequently, when we try to read
them, NEWCARD dumps core. We can work around this problem easily
enough to avoid the core dump, but that won't fix the underlying problem.

This is the canonical version of the bug. All others will be marked
as duplicates of this one.

>How-To-Repeat:
Insert one of the affected cards
>Fix:
improve the memory allocation so that we don't have this problem :-)
