I ordered such a beast from Conrad, too, and get a small SMD DCF-77 to serial 
line converter from the German iX magazine (the components are also available 
from Conrad Electronic). It runs fine, if you simply plug it to the serial 
line and compile xntpd with the required flags.

If you are interested, I can give you more details in about 2 weeks! It's 
christmass!
