Well, I found a GTK-based sequencer program in ports called 
MIDIMountain. The homepage is 
http://www.music-community.ch/midimountain/

Also, can FreeBSD talk to the MIDI port on the Soundblaster Live! ? 
If not, can I install my spare Ensoniq card alongside the SBLive! 
and use both cards?
