Seems like a hardware issue.  The first thing dell will make you do is
download and run their diagnostic software.  It will pinpoint the
problem pretty well if it is hardware related.  Just go to their web
site and get the latest version.  They require Windows to make the
floppy disk set, unfortunately, so have one of those systems handy...
