Hi,

It may be that your laptop has multiple sound output devices, and that we are
selecting the wrong one by default  Can you try:

sysctl hw.snd.default_unit=1

and retest?  If that also doesn't work, try setting it to 2.

If that does not help, can you please attach a verbose dmesg to this bug?
