You want jdk14. Java 5 is barely out of beta status and Sun provides
absolutely no support for java on *BSD. You will have to jump through
many hoops and red tape to get a native version of java installed on
your system.

If you want a basic install guide here is one I wrote after I finally
got a working version of java installed on my system:
