Your discussion about ports dependencies made me think that it would possibly be worth considering to make the pkg/DESCR file print at the start of any make all, perhaps give it a seperate target also. It'd be real neat to have the capability to do a 'make desc' on the whole ports directory, capture it and browse around. Of course, I'd want to edit the DESCR files to explicitly point out any and all possible dependencies. ----------------------------+----------------------------------------------- Chuck Robey | Interests include any kind of voice or data chuckr@eng.umd.edu | communications topic, C programming, and Unix. 9120 Edmonston Ct #302 | Greenbelt, MD 20770 | I run Journey2 (Freebsd 2.0.5-snap-0726) and (301) 220-2114 | n3lxx (FreeBSD 2.0.5-snap-0622) -- Great! ----------------------------+-----------------------------------------------
