Yesterday I installed 206 from ftp2.freebsd.org. Today that one was
gone, so I switched to 304, which is the one that resulted in my
email, above.

Since then, either the network or server performance has been so bad
that I haven't been able to reinstall it. I had to go back to 206 from
ftp.freebsd.org. (Why don't the mirrors all have the same directory
structures and snapshots?) I just finished installing that one.

/boot has boot1, loader, and netboot, which are all "MS Windows COFF
Unknown CPU" files. There is also a help file. I hope that the "Unknown
CPU" is not Intel...

Well, I just booted it, and viola! :-)

Looks like the 0204 snapshot works, and the 0304 is broken.
