Hi, I am looking for a way to simulate or generate heavy usage on a webserver and measure the response times. I have written a 'web-application' (in PHP3) and I am trying to optimize my code. I have embedded several calls to get microseconds at the start and end of my algorithms, but I am concerned that this won't accurately give me any idea of performance under fire. (Besides, so far this method seems to suggest that my code has no real processing-time overhead--Wow, I must be really good at this ;) Can anyone suggest tools or methods that I might do this with?
