it doesn't get far enough for me to use unix commands.
>Description:
After successfully connecting to the FTP site for a FTP installation, it asks me if I am really sure. After my affirmation, it starts to format the partition etc. When it gets to the part when it's trying to install the /var, /usr, and other, it comes up with an error saying that it can't install them. Then on reboot I get a HD failure message. Only shutting the machine down and then back up will fix it.
I have a 1 gig IDE conners HD, and am trying to install it on the second partition of 540 megs.
>How-To-Repeat:
I think it's related to FreeBSD installing on my hardware components.
>Fix:
I have no clue, but if you find one let me know. BSDI does the same thing as well. But linux works fine. If you come up with a solution please e-mail me.
