OK... to be absolutely precise, "make -j4 world".  I've always done 
parallel makes before with -stable, and I'm assuming that's not relevant?

Of course I'm not using -DNOCLEAN.  I'm just using "make world"... isn't 
that "proper"?  The Makefile has been altered to copy one file (ss_err.h) 
at a key juncture... but otherwise, this is stock -stable.
