Well, I can't tell you when there will be a 4.0 release. But from what I've read it won't be for a while. I'm not sure if you know the difference or not from the content of your e-mail but there is a 4.0-CURRENT, which is the 'bleeding edge' of FreeBSD. 3.3-STABLE is the up-to-date stable version, and 3.3-RELEASE was a "snapshot" of STABLE at the moment that those cds were released. -Chris > -----Original Message----- > From: Mainframe TheSurfer [SMTP:mejnfrejm@hotmail.com] > Sent: Thursday, September 30, 1999 7:17 AM > To: freebsd-questions@freeBSD.ORG > Subject: FreeBSD 4.0 release > > Hi, I'd like to ask you when can we expect freeBSD 4.0 release, because I > already noticed packages for 4.0 on your ftp site. > > Thank you > > Matt > > ______________________________________________________ > Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
