SunOS and Solaris are unix-like. :-)

No FreeBSD does not work on these systems. There are Alpha and UltraSparc
ports, and some interest from Apple. But predominately, FreeBSD is Intel
based.

There is a Linux port and NetBSD and OpenBSD. Probably some others, too.
