IIRC, libinput has taps disabled by default. You should add following lines=
 to
xorg.conf to enable it again:

Section "InputClass"
        Identifier "libinput touchpad catchall"
        MatchIsTouchpad "on"
        Option "Tapping" "on"
        Option "ClickMethod" "clickfinger"
