No you have one - otherwise disklabel wouldn't have shown one.
You don't have a primary partition table, but that's correct for alphas.

disklabel looks good for me too.

But the kernel doesn't know fstabs content.
It's loaders job (AFAIK) to fetch these values for the kernel.
Can we see the bootmessages until the kernel starts?
You might also want to check if the loader files in /boot are correct.
