A better solution is to keep all your mail on your laptop; I suck mine from several sources using fetchmail, and masquerade on the outbound leg so that mail looks like its coming from my server. Then when I'm in the office, I disable APM, keep the lid on the laptop closed and run exmh remotely on a real screen. An added bonus is that you can suck your mail down, hang up, reply to everything and then when you're done reconnect and run the mail queue. Very handy if you're fetching over a link that costs real money. mike
