Perhaps you have to remake your devices (MAKEDEV)? You didn't tell
which version you ran before, and which you're using now, so nobody
knows wether this would be neccessary.

Tell us your version, and show us the output of ls -l /dev/acd0c /dev/acd1c
if you can't solve it.
