Looks good to me.  I think the Chicago Manual of Style mentions a few
other places where non-breaking spaces should be used, such as between
a honorific and last name ..

  "He passed the dunce cap to Mr.
   Stokely"

but that's not very relevant to our technical writing, so I think you
certainly covered the two most important cases.  Please commit.
