I have set up rdist and it is working if I try to login the other
machine with a normal user account but if I want to send the file as
root then rdist is complaining about

Login incorrect.

If I put IP address of the client and + to the hosts.equiv file I get
this kind of error message

rdist: connection failed: version numbers don't match
rdist: got unexpected input:rdist: Trdist: hrdist: irdist: srdist:
rdist: ardist: crdist: crdist: ordist: urdist: nrdist: trdist: rdist:
irdist: srdist: rdist: crdist: urdist: rrdist: rrdist: erdist: nrdist:
trdist: lrdist: yrdist: rdist: nrdist: ordist: trdist: rdist: ardist:
vrdist: ardist: irdist: lrdist: ardist: brdist: lrdist: erdist: .rdist:

But still I can put the files to other machine with normal user
accounts. What is wrong???

Evren
