I understand that PCNFS can be used for both NFS access to the FreeBSD server as well as authentication via NIS. I've not use the client side tools and seem to be having a problem locating PCNFS to test with my setup. What I'd like to accomplish is a Netware- or Winblows-like authentication--that is, the user would be prompted with a login prompt for PCNFS to login to the PC and server. Will PCNFS do this? Is there something more suitable? (I also use Samba but am looking for a native, high performance unix solution.) Where can I get PCNFS?
