I'll second that.  I've installed 2.0.5A on about six different machines
so far, from a 386DX40 (with only 5M of memory - works fine) through
to a PCI DX4/100.  None have suffered _any_ problems like the ones
being described here, so I doubt any fundamental distribution corruption.
