I think that's a reasonable assumption.  The general feeling in the
developer community is that they're unreliable devices, and the last
thing anybody wants is an unreliable backup system, so nobody is
interested in integrating them.  The fact that they're not really
designed to work in a multiuser environment just adds to that.
