I've been working on this from time to time over the past couple of years.
I have some other work I need to do in the short term but some time in the
next couple of weeks I hope to work on this some more.

Amazon is completely open to having other operating systems available on EC2
(at least, as far as I can tell -- I don't work for Amazon and this is just
my opinion from talking to them).  The problems have been technical, mostly
due to FreeBSD's Xen code being in generally poor condition.
