It's better (exceptionally) to write this kind of line really all one line.

You don't need to go to that trouble.  'disabled' devices are
configured, they just don't go out looking for devices when you boot
up.  As somebody else said, you can (and almost certainly should)
enable it at boot time by booting with the -c option and entering
UserConfig.
