Of course, i personally wouldn't use it much, but > rely on the hardware compression of my tape drive. ;) Which is, incidently, block compression so that partial recovery of archives are possible (unless you have one of the old, stupid QIC-40/80 floppy tape controller boards with the wierd compression that locks you into one hardware vendor for eternity, yet isn't manufactured any more).
