I just tried to send the below message, but I tried to process it
which resulted in failed mail. So here it is again:

I am having problems sending mail from my server BSD box.
I receive a MAILER DAEMON reply when I try to send a message
with the following contents:

I think that the problem is that the hostname.domainname doesn't exist.
My domain name exists and is registered. I use mutt as my mail client,
so I have tried setting the headers to be me@mydomain.tld rather than
me@myhostname.mydomainname.tld, but this didn't seem to do anything.

I feel like this should be a simple problem to fix, but I haven't
managed to find the solution anywhere. Does anyone know a quick
solution to this?

TIA,
-anthony.
