I also had this problem and it seems that no one have seen
it before. If FreeBSD cant find your cdrom it is probably not
supported. One way to install is to install the base
installation from diskettes or over FTP, if you have a fast
connection.
I installed over FTP from my machines that couldn't find
the cdrom.
