You can dowload the 'latest' freebsd port here:
http://openmv.com/resources/freebsd/ports/sysutils/gluster.tar.gz

Unfortunately, there's no stable 2.x version yet!

You'll likely run into the following bug:

But let me if it works out for you

The good news is I believe the zresearch guys will maintain the freebsd port
themselves once it's stable:
http://ftp.gluster.com/pub/gluster/glusterfs/packages/FreeBSD/
