I have recently sludged through installing 2.2-RELEASE on a ThinkPAD 750. I have recompiled the kernel with all of the PCVT lines uncommented. I have poked through the email database at www.freebsd.org, but I still have two problems. (1) When I reboot, / has never dismounted properly, and I average more than three reboot cycles before I can logon. During reboot and at other spurious times, I see interrupt timeout errors for the harddrive. Is this a known ThinkPAD problem or may I have faulty hardware? (2) The Fn feature is set and locked when I use the Caps Lock key, exit vi, or do other things. I have not been able to unset this feature using any key combination, and since a lot of important keys are now overloaded, I can not execute any commands. I can not even switch to a different virtual consol to type. My only option has been to power cycle the laptop. This together with problem (1), is really annoying. Does anyone know how to deal with this? Tobin ---------------------- Tobin J.
