:IME Solaris, like FreeBSD, uses a different network device name for
:different drivers, e.g. le, hme, etc.

Irix still uses different device names as well:

ef0: flags=415c43<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,FILTMULTI,MULTICAST,CKSUM,DRVRLOCK,LINK0,IPALIAS>

et0: flags=400c43<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,FILTMULTI,MULTICAST,IPALIAS>

ec0: flags=400c43<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,FILTMULTI,MULTICAST,IPALIAS>
