Hi,

When you stick an audio CD into your CDROM, how does the device
know the names and artists? Not all devices are connected, so
they can't know connected to freedb.org or something. So is
there an index you can create on the CD that can be read?

What format does this index follow? How can it be created and
with what software?

TIA.
