My opinion is FreeBSD's ports system is lightyears ahead of "Fink" and Fink is headed in absolutly the wrong direction, reminds me of the other "BSD"s. What makes FreeBSD shine is the same ports tree works across many versions of FreeBSD, trying to control the ports tree by versioning is madness, int my humble opinion anyways. -Mike
