Brian had a good point, and screen's manpage covers the scrollback key
navigation pretty well but now I have two problems: The first is that after
the first invocation of C-a ESC, and hitting a key with no function, such
as the "u" key, screen goes out of scrollback mode and from then on my
backspace key prints out tildes "~" and stops working.

Second, does the command "screen -h 1000" specify screen to startup and use
a scrollback "history" of 1000 num of lines? Be screenin ya,
