If you're still on 9.2 I don't believe it would show a performance degradation. Since I'm going into downtime for the upgrade anyway, I'm going to upgrade both PostgreSQL and FreeBSD to 10.x at the same time, and since it looks that it would be prudent NOT to upgrade to PostgreSQL 9.3+ from any release of FreeBSD, I'm going to wait for the patches to hit a RELEASE. Btw PostgreSQL 9.4 is just around the corner.
