Intel's site on porting code to the IA-64 
(http://developer.intel.com/design/ia64/devinfo.htm) gives information on 
Linux, NT, SCO, HP-UX, and Solaris -- but there's not a peep about any BSD 
UNIX. I hope that this doesn't mean that FreeBSD plans to self-destruct by 
failing to port to the next generation of Intel CPUs! Why were the BSDs so 
conspicuously omitted?
