Oh, yes. Yes, I know. :-) It seems that sysinstall is tightly depending on libftpio and we need further work to use libfetch. In this time, I choose to don't touch around here. I believe the code will be clear than libftpio version. My work on IPv6 ready installer is almost done and now in review and testing with Japanese IPv6 guys.
