py-gnome and gnome-python are the same. That is the GNOME 1.4 version.
~ py-gnome2 is the GNOME 2 version of gnome-python. The two cannot be
installed together. If you need an application that requires py-gnome,
pressure the author to support the new GNOME 2 API instead. Most
applications should have migrated to py-gnome2 by now anyway.
