nope, nothing whatsoever. and scratch my earlier observation of a maximum
33.6kbps connection. i've gotten speeds in the 50kbps range over the last
few hours.

one thing i noticed is, if i suspend my compaq armada300, and the plug in
the phone line, the notebook wakes up as if i pressed the wake button.
