Actually, it isn't: http://www.freedesktop.org/wiki/Software/systemd/timedated/ This reads "Note that this service will not inform you about system time changes. Use timerfd() with CLOCK_REALTIME and TFD_TIMER_CANCEL_ON_SET for that." So it mostly looks like a shared service to provide the graphical time control panel for GNOME. -Dimitry --Apple-Mail=_44FEAC56-EED7-44A1-B485-057EA3DB1CB7 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 7bit Content-Disposition: attachment; filename=signature.asc Content-Type: application/pgp-signature; name=signature.asc Content-Description: Message signed with OpenPGP using GPGMail -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG/MacGPG2 v2.0.26 iEYEARECAAYFAlRiYKMACgkQsF6jCi4glqMfGQCfX1DsPyWQxtwMQz9moT7zefZf lEcAoP3rEsSlVX6eGRBv4ywr74QLrnWW =w58R -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- --Apple-Mail=_44FEAC56-EED7-44A1-B485-057EA3DB1CB7--
