i would laso like to say that adding a gui (graphical user 
interface) does not automatically render a computing system 
'user friendly'.

no matter the application level, from the operating system 
itself to any other minor task that might be run by the system 
as a whole. user freindliness relies on one basic tenent, that 
being the fact that the user is familiar with the task(s) at hand.

dumbing down an operating system tot he same level as teh users 
dose nobody any favours ... sorry, this is a fact of life.
